 My makeup was in a mess, she noticed that too and chortled.

My unevenly powdered face amused her.
I don't want to swear but I didn't notice it earlier.

 I excused myself from the office and went straight to the restroom. I needed to fix it urgently so as to get back to her to know why she to my office.
