The Treasure Within. (short story)
Everyone was born with a treasure. It's innate, it's natural. Some call it a gift, If we search deeply within us we'll surely find it.
Barbara is a five years old girl, whenever she get a piece of paper and a pencil, all she could do with it is to draw. She draws everyday people, objects or anything that interests her. Her mother often stop her from drawing because she believed she won't be concentrating on her schoolwork.
However, Barbara won't stop drawing, she loved it. It's another world for her. A world that feels so familiar to her, there she can call it her own.
Fast-foward, seven years later, She received an award for the best Fine-Art student, she also got a full scholarship award to study any course of her choice after her high school certificate. Her mother who earns a minimum wage salary couldn't afford that much tuition. Thank God for her child's natural ability, she said.
Her gift made a way for her, she affirmed.
